Mouse Aco2/Aconitate hydratase, mitochondrial ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of mouse mitochondrial Aconitate Hydratase (ACO2), a key enzyme of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle involved in mitochondrial energy production and metabolism. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL, and the kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Validation data from the manufacturer show recovery in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each) with average recoveries of 93%, 96% and 98% (ranges 85–101%, 88–103% and 90–105%, respectively). Dilutional linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions falls between 83% and 105% for all three sample matrices. ACO2, also known as aconitase 2 or citrate hydro-lyase, is a research target in metabolic disorders, neurodegenerative disease and cancer.

The double-antibody sandwich workflow: standards and samples are incubated on the pre-coated plate, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding, TMB substrate development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
