Mouse Acetylcholinesterase (Ache) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the measurement of Acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in mouse samples. The assay has reactivity specific to mouse and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. AChE is an important enzyme involved in neurotransmission, terminating signal transduction at the neuromuscular junction by rapid hydrolysis of the acetylcholine released into the synaptic cleft. Dysregulation of AChE activity has been implicated in various neurological conditions, including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, making this assay a valuable tool for neurosciences research.

The kit detects natural and recombinant mouse Acetylcholinesterase, with a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.402ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported as 4.8% CV and inter-assay precision as 7.9% CV. In linearity testing across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16), serum samples (N=5) yielded 90-100%, 96-106%, 92-101%, and 94-103%; EDTA plasma gave 84-95%, 97-107%, 110-120%, and 103-112%; and heparin plasma returned 91-103%, 80-89%, 96-105%, and 85-97%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 100% for serum (range 94-106%) and 102% for plasma (range 96-108%).
