CD73 (5'-Nucleotidase, encoded by the NT5E gene) is a GPI-anchored ectoenzyme that hydrolyzes extracellular AMP into adenosine, and quantitative profiling of this ectonucleotidase is a common endpoint in studies of the tumor microenvironment, regulatory T-cell biology, and adenosine-mediated immunosuppression.
