Mouse 3-hydroxyisobutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (Hibadh) ELISA Kit

The assay uses colorimetric detection and is designed for use with mouse serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. It detects both natural and recombinant mouse HIBADH with reactivity specific to mouse samples.

HIBADH is a key enzyme involved in the metabolism of amino acids and fatty acids and plays a role in energy production within the mitochondria. Dysregulation of HIBADH has been linked to metabolic disorders and mitochondrial dysfunction, making it a valuable biomarker for research in cell biology and the study of metabolic disease. The target protein is a homodimer localized to the mitochondrion, encoded by the Hibadh gene.

Reported performance specifications include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.081 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3%, and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 for serum (87-119%), EDTA plasma (89-120%), and heparin plasma (80-107%).
