Mouse 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase (Haao) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie intended for the detection of mouse 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase (HAO) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is for research use only and is reactive with mouse samples.

HAO is an enzyme involved in the tryptophan catabolism pathway, with reported roles in immune response regulation and neurotransmitter synthesis. Dysregulation of HAO has been linked to inflammatory disorders, autoimmune diseases, and neurological disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for related research. The enzyme (UniProt Q78JT3) is a cytoplasmic monomer with a reported molecular weight of 32,804 Da that catalyses the oxidative ring opening of 3-hydroxyanthranilate to 2-amino-3-carboxymuconate semialdehyde, which spontaneously cyclizes to quinolinate. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.159ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 8.7% and inter-assay CV is 10.7%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16). Recovery is reported as 95% (range 89-101%) for serum and 97% (range 91-103%) for plasma. The kit recognises natural and recombinant mouse 3-hydroxyanthranilate 3,4-dioxygenase.
