Mouse 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 3 (Oas3) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of mouse 2'-5'-oligoadenylate synthase 3 (OAS3) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant mouse OAS3 and is intended for research use only in the immunology area.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.8% and an inter-assay CV of 8.7%. Linearity in serum (N=5) is 103–112% at 1:2, 109–119% at 1:4, 89–101% at 1:8 and 91–100% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (N=5) is 110–120%, 91–103%, 115–124% and 94–104% across the same dilutions; heparin plasma (N=5) is 104–114%, 109–119%, 90–100% and 103–111%. Mean recovery is 84% (range 80–90%) for serum and 86% (range 80–92%) for plasma.

OAS3 is an interferon-induced, dsRNA-activated antiviral enzyme that plays a critical role in the cellular innate antiviral response, synthesising preferentially dimers of 2'-5'-oligoadenylates (2-5A) from ATP that bind to the inactive monomeric form of RNase L, leading to its dimerization and activation. It shows antiviral activity against Chikungunya virus, Dengue virus, Sindbis virus and Semliki forest virus and belongs to the 2-5A synthase family, with subcellular localisation in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Synonyms include 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthetase-like 10, (2-5')oligo(A) synthase 3 and Oasl10.
