Mouse 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 13 (Hsd17b13) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of mouse 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 13 (Hsd17b13) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with mouse samples and targets natural and recombinant mouse 17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 13.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at 6.2% CV, while inter-assay precision is 7.7% CV. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16, with reported ranges from 93% to 124% depending on the matrix and dilution. Mean recovery is 101% in serum (range 95–107%) and 103% in plasma (range 97–109%).

HSD17B13 is an enzyme involved in steroid metabolism and lipid regulation with a role in liver function. Dysregulation of the enzyme has been linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), liver fibrosis, and metabolic disorders, supporting its relevance as a research target in signal transduction studies.
