Description

Assay Genie offers this sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-3 (TIMP-3) in monkey samples. TIMP-3 is described as a key regulator of extracellular matrix remodeling and cell growth, making it a relevant target for research in areas such as cancer, inflammation, and cardiovascular diseases. The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich ELISA format with colorimetric detection, and is reported to deliver high sensitivity and specificity for reproducible experimental results.

It is intended for use with monkey serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL, with a measuring range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity has been evaluated in serum (89–98%, 90–101%, 86–97% at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions), EDTA plasma (89–103%, 87–100%, 81–97%), and heparin plasma (87–101%, 83–98%, 95–99%). Recovery ranges are 85–105% (average 95%) for serum, 85–99% (average 92%) for EDTA plasma, and 88–104% (average 96%) for heparin plasma. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents, incubating the plate at 37°C for 90 minutes with standards and samples, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, binding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, developing with TMB substrate for 10–20 minutes in the dark, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
