Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantification of plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI1) in monkey samples. PAI1 is a key regulator in the fibrinolytic system, controlling the breakdown of blood clots and playing a role in processes such as hemostasis and thrombosis. Abnormal levels of PAI1 have been associated with various diseases, including cardiovascular disorders, metabolic syndrome, and inflammatory conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for research purposes.

The kit is suitable for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich detection method with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (85-104% at 1:2, 92-97% at 1:4, 89-105% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (92-97% at 1:2, 90-101% at 1:4, 83-100% at 1:8), and heparin plasma (83-96% at 1:2, 83-94% at 1:4, 84-100% at 1:8). Recovery ranges are 91-102% (average 93%) in serum, 87-100% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma, and 90-104% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. The protocol includes incubation of standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution.
