Monkey IL-2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit enables the quantification of Interleukin-2 (IL-2) in monkey samples using a double antibody format. The assay is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. IL-2 is a cytokine central to immune regulation and T-cell activation, and altered IL-2 levels have been linked with autoimmune diseases, allergies, and immune deficiencies.

The procedure begins with equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, followed by loading of standards, samples, and controls onto the pre-coated plate. After 90 minutes of incubation at 37°C for antigen binding, the biotin-labelled detection antibody is added for 60 minutes, then HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C. Colour is developed with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, stopped, and absorbance is read at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity for serum spans 88–103% at 1:2 to 85–99% at 1:8; EDTA plasma ranges 90–102% (1:2) to 81–100% (1:8); heparin plasma spans 86–101% (1:2) to 80–96% (1:8). Recovery ranges are 92–102% for serum, 90–104% for EDTA plasma, and 86–95% for heparin plasma, with averages of 95%, 95%, and 91% respectively.
