Monkey IL-16 ELISA Kit

A solid-phase sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie in a double-antibody format designed to quantify the cytokine interleukin-16 (IL-16; Uniprot O62674) in monkey samples. Acceptable specimen types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported sensitivity is 18.75 pg/mL with a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. The recommended procedure runs from reagent and plate preparation through a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labeled detection antibody binding step at 37°C, a 30-minute HRP-streptavidin binding step at 37°C, 10–20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark, and a final stop reaction before reading. Kits are stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

IL-16, also listed under the synonyms LCF, NIL16, PRIL16 and prIL-16, is described in the manufacturer's literature as a cytokine involved in T-cell activation and recruitment whose dysregulation has been implicated in inflammatory, autoimmune and allergic conditions, supporting research applications in monkeys.
