Monkey Haptoglobin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of haptoglobin in monkey samples. Haptoglobin is an acute phase protein that binds free hemoglobin in the bloodstream, helping to prevent oxidative damage and scavenge heme to maintain iron homeostasis. The kit is suited to research on inflammatory processes, hemolytic disorders, and oxidative stress in monkey models.

Accepted sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 9.375 ng/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 ng/mL. Detection relies on a TMB colorimetric step read at 450 nm. Unopened reagents are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

Validated linearity in serum (n=5) was 87-102% at 1:2, 88-97% at 1:4, and 85-100% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma 86-101%, 84-100%, and 82-100%; and in heparin plasma 86-98%, 91-101%, and 81-100%. Spike-and-recovery averaged 100% in serum (range 88-105%), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 86-100%), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 90-102%).
