Monkey G6PD (Glucose 6 Phosphate Dehydrogenase) ELISA Kit (MKES00022)

The Assay Genie Monkey G6PD ELISA Kit enables sensitive quantification of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in non-human primate biological specimens. G6PD catalyzes the first and rate-limiting step of the pentose phosphate pathway, generating the NADPH required to keep glutathione in its reduced form and thereby protecting red blood cells from oxidative injury. Accurate measurement of G6PD activity is therefore central to research on hemolytic anemia, neonatal jaundice, favism, and malaria susceptibility in primate models. The kit provides a pre-coated microplate and all reagents needed for 96 determinations run in duplicate, with absorbance read on a standard microplate reader. Capture and detection antibodies are calibrated to the conserved primate G6PD sequence, yielding selective reactivity with monkey-derived samples and no significant cross-reactivity with rodent orthologs. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the sealed kit components are shipped refrigerated.
