Monkey Ferritin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA is configured for the quantitative measurement of ferritin in monkey-derived samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody sandwich format, and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Storage is 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported sensitivity is 4.688 ng/mL, with a measuring range of 7.813–500 ng/mL. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (n = 5): serum 90–101%, 88–99%, 80–96%; EDTA plasma 86–101%, 84–92%, 86–94%; heparin plasma 94–104%, 91–99%, 81–97%. Recovery averages are 96% in serum, 96% in EDTA plasma, and 97% in heparin plasma.

Ferritin is a key iron-storage and regulatory protein. Abnormal ferritin levels have been associated with iron deficiency anemia, hemochromatosis, and inflammatory disorders, making the assay a useful research tool across biology, biochemistry, and medicine.
