Monkey ECF/CCL11/Eosinophil Chemotactic Factor ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of monkey ECF/CCL11 (also known as Eotaxin, Eotaxin-1, Eosinophil chemotactic protein, SCYA11, Small-inducible cytokine A11, and chemokine ligand 11), a chemotactic factor involved in recruiting eosinophils to sites of inflammation. The double-antibody sandwich assay uses colorimetric detection and is suited to research into allergic diseases, asthma, and related inflammatory conditions where elevated ECF levels have been reported.

The kit has a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5 each) at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions was 88–103%, 98–104%, and 87–94% respectively, with average spike recoveries of 93% (serum), 93% (EDTA plasma), and 97% (heparin plasma). The kit is stored at 2–8°C with a 12-month shelf life under those conditions.

The protocol equilibrates reagents to room temperature, incubates the plate at 37°C for 90 minutes for antigen binding, adds a biotin-labelled detection antibody for 60 minutes, incubates with HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, develops with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stops the reaction for absorbance reading at 450 nm.
