Osteocalcin, also known as Bone Gla Protein (BGP), is a vitamin K-dependent protein secreted by osteoblasts and widely used as a marker of bone formation in metabolic research. The Assay Genie Monkey BGP (Osteocalcin) ELISA Kit delivers a quantitative tool for measuring this protein in non-human primate models, supporting translational studies of bone turnover, skeletal metabolism, and age-related changes in bone density.
The assay is supplied as a 96 Assays kit and accepts circulating specimens. Absorbance-based readout enables quantification with a standard microplate reader, and the product is intended for research use only in studies of osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, hormonal influences, and nutritional interventions affecting skeletal health.
