Monkey alpha2-M (Alpha-2 Macroglobulin) ELISA Kit (MKES00039)

Assay Genie provides a quantitative ELISA tool for measuring alpha-2 macroglobulin in non-human primate research samples. Alpha-2 macroglobulin (A2M) is a large circulating glycoprotein (~720 kDa) that acts as a broad-spectrum protease inhibitor, scavenging excess proteinase activity during coagulation, inflammation, and tissue remodelling. In macaque and other monkey models, circulating A2M concentrations serve as a biomarker for hepatic protein synthesis, acute-phase response, and altered glomerular filtration.

The assay is supplied in a microplate format compatible with standard plate readers, producing an absorbance-based endpoint for straightforward quantification. Reagents ship refrigerated to preserve activity, and light-sensitive components should be protected during handling.
