Description

Assay Genie offers an In-Cell ELISA Kit designed to measure the relative amounts of MOL2C protein in cultured cells, providing a convenient, lysate-free approach for high-throughput screening applications. The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples and is intended for use with adherent cells.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which MOL2C is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. Detection is performed colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is stored at 4°C for 6 Months.

Two normalization methods are built into the workflow: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted for plating differences. The target (Gene ID: 148932; UniProt ID: Q70IA8; NCBI Official Symbol: MOB3C; Molecular Weight: 25,623 Da) encodes MOB kinase activator 3C, which is located at chromosomal position 1p33 in humans and may regulate the activity of kinases within the MOB1/phocein family.
