MMP-3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Matrix Metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) levels in cell culture supernatants. MMP-3 is a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix degradation, tissue remodeling, and cell migration, and elevated levels have been linked to diseases such as arthritis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format, in which MMP-3 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. It is a lysate-free, high throughput, and sensitive assay that can be used for measuring relative amounts of MMP-3 in cultured cells, as well as for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals), or activators. Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse, and Rat, and the dynamic range is given as > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric read-out.

Supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and intended for storage at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months, the kit is suited to use with adherent cells in cell biology research.
