MMP-23 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of MMP-23 (matrix metalloproteinase-23), a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodeling. The kit is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and is intended for use with cell lysates, tissue culture supernatants, and adherent cells, supporting research into MMP-23 in cancer, arthritis, and cardiovascular disorders.

Detection is by a colorimetric method read at 450 nm, and the assay is provided in a 96-well microplate format with storage at 4°C for 6 months. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which MMP-23-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. It is a lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive assay that can be used to measure relative MMP-23 amounts in cultured cells or to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on MMP-23 expression.

For data normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. The dynamic range is > 5000 Cells.
