MMP-15 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA Kit for the qualitative detection of Matrix Metalloproteinase-15 (MMP-15) in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which MMP-15 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction that is read at 450 nm. The kit is described as lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, supporting the measurement of relative MMP-15 expression and the screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators in cell culture.

The kit is reactive with human and mouse samples and is intended for use with adherent cells, supporting a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is provided to determine cell density so that plating differences can be adjusted. The plate format is a 96-Well Microplate, and the kit is stored at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 months.

MMP-15 is a membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase of the peptidase M10A family that degrades various extracellular matrix components and may activate progelatinase A, with roles in tissue remodelling and cell migration. The kit is positioned for research into MMP-15's involvement in cancer metastasis, inflammation and tissue repair.
