MMP-14 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of Matrix Metalloproteinase 14 (MMP-14), an enzyme involved in extracellular matrix remodelling and cell migration that is relevant to tissue repair, tumour progression and inflammatory responses. It is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and runs as an indirect ELISA, in which MMP-14-specific primary antibodies are recognised by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to generate a colour signal at 450 nm. The assay is lysate-free, high-throughput and suited to measuring relative MMP-14 levels in cultured cells, including screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (for example siRNA or chemicals) and activators.

The kit is provided in a 96-well microplate format and is intended for adherent cells, with a quoted dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, while Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. Storage stability is stated as 4°C / 6 Months, and the detection method is Colorimetric 450 nm.
