mGluR8 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie provides a lysate-free, high-throughput colorimetric assay for measuring relative mGluR8 protein expression in cultured cells. Designed for adherent cells and reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, it runs on a 96-well microplate format with detection read at 450 nm. The kit is intended for signal transduction research and has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format, in which an mGluR8-specific primary antibody captures the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction on substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows absorbance values to be adjusted for cell density. The kit is stored at 4 °C with a stated stability of six months.
