mGluR2/3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and reliable detection of metabotropic glutamate receptor 2/3 (mGluR2/3) levels in cell culture samples. The assay offers high sensitivity and specificity, supporting research into the roles of mGluR2/3 in modulating neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity in the central nervous system.

The kit uses a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA format. mGluR2/3 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is read at 450 nm. The assay is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. It can be used to measure relative amounts of mGluR2/3 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on the receptor.

An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density for adjusting plating differences. The kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months.
