MEK1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of MEK1 (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Kinase 1) in cultured cells with high sensitivity and specificity, supporting research into the MAPK signalling pathway. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm in a 96-well microplate format, with reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples and a dynamic range of > 5000 cells.

Working as a lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA, the kit captures MEK1 with target-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and normalise absorbance values to plating differences. The kit can be applied to measure relative MEK1 amounts in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on MEK1.

Compatible sample types include adherent cells, and the kit is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
