MEF2A (Phospho-Thr312)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of phosphorylated MEF2A at threonine 312 in cell samples. It uses a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, with adherent cells recommended as the sample type.

The assay is lysate-free and employs an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture the phosphorylated protein, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. It is intended for qualitative determination of MEF2A (Phospho-Thr312) concentration in cultured cells and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on MEF2A phosphorylation. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control to normalize target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided for determining cell density so that plating differences can be adjusted.
