MEF2A Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of MEF2A protein expression directly in cultured cells. The assay is lysate-free, high throughput, and uses an indirect ELISA format in which MEF2A is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. The kit has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples and is intended for use with adherent cells, making it appropriate for measuring relative MEF2A levels and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on MEF2A expression.

The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided for determining cell density so that absorbance readings can be normalized to cell amounts. Recommended storage is at 4°C for 6 months.
