MDM4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of MDM4 levels in cell lysates, providing a high-throughput, lysate-free workflow suitable for cancer biology, basic research and drug discovery applications.

The assay is reactive across human, mouse and rat samples and uses a colourimetric detection method at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a microplate format for adherent cell samples and is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.

Detection follows an indirect ELISA format, in which MDM4 is bound by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colourimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-human GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising the target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The target, MDM4 (also known as MDMX), is a regulator of the p53 tumour suppressor pathway implicated in cell cycle regulation and apoptosis, with database references Gene ID: 4194 and UniProt ID: O15151.
