MARCKS (Phospho-Ser158)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the detection of MARCKS (Myristoylated Alanine-Rich C-Kinase Substrate) protein phosphorylated at serine 158, a modification that regulates the protein's role in cell motility, adhesion, and membrane trafficking. The kit uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm and an indirect ELISA format, in which phospho-specific primary antibodies are bound by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to deliver a sensitive, high-throughput, lysate-free workflow for measuring relative phosphorylation levels in cultured cells.

Reactivity is reported for human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to relate absorbance values to cell density. The assay is designed for adherent cells and supports screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators that influence MARCKS phosphorylation.
