MAP3K8 (Phospho-Thr290)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the detection of MAP3K8 phosphorylation at threonine 290 in cultured cells. The assay uses a colorimetric readout at 450 nm in an indirect ELISA format, in which phosphorylated MAP3K8 (Phospho-Thr290) is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that produce a measurable signal upon substrate addition.

The kit is intended for use with adherent cells and is reported to work with human, mouse and rat samples. It is described as lysate-free and high throughput, and can be used to measure relative phosphorylation levels in cells as well as to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on MAP3K8 phosphorylation. A dynamic range of > 5000 Cells is stated by the manufacturer. Results can be normalised using an included anti-GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining to account for cell density differences between wells.
