Description

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit provides a sensitive, lysate-free, high-throughput method for measuring MAP3K8 protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which MAP3K8 is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The dynamic range is reported as > 5000 Cells, with reactivity established for human, mouse and rat samples. The kit is intended for use with adherent cells and is suitable for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on MAP3K8 expression.

For data normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows absorbance values to be normalized to cell density, correcting for plating differences. The product is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with recommended storage at 4°C for 6 months.

MAP3K8, also known as Tpl2 or COT, is a serine/threonine kinase of the STE group that participates in inflammation, cell proliferation and immune response, and has been associated with cancer, autoimmune disorders and inflammatory conditions, making the kit a relevant tool for research into disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic interventions. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 52,925 Da (UniProt ID: P41279; Gene ID: 1326).
