Description

This Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the detection of phosphorylated MAP3K7 (Phospho-Thr184) protein levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, offering high sensitivity and specificity. The colorimetric assay is read at 450 nm and uses an indirect ELISA format, in which MAP3K7 (Phospho-Thr184) is captured by a phospho-specific primary antibody and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Reactivity has been established for human, mouse and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is a lysate-free, high-throughput solution intended for use with adherent cells, suitable for measuring relative phosphorylation of MAP3K7 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on MAP3K7 phosphorylation.

For data normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density. MAP3K7, also known as TAK1, is a serine/threonine kinase of the MLK family involved in cell survival, proliferation, inflammation and stress-activated signalling pathways. Its dysregulation has been implicated in a variety of diseases, making this kit a valuable tool for investigating MAP3K7 phosphorylation status and identifying potential therapeutic targets.
