Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit provides sensitive detection of MAP2K6 levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, with reactivity confirmed for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format designed for use with adherent cells.

The kit employs a lysate-free, high-throughput, indirect ELISA workflow. MAP2K6 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, with storage at 4°C and a stated stability of 6 months.

MAP2K6, also referred to as MAPKK6 or MKK6, is a dual specificity protein kinase and a key component of the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway, with roles in cellular responses to cytokines and environmental stress. The kit is suitable for measuring relative MAP2K6 levels in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators on MAP2K6 expression. Database information lists Gene ID 5608 and UniProt ID P52564.
