MAK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric, cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of MAK (male germ cell-associated kinase) protein in cultured cells. The kit is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format, with adherent cells specified as the sample type.

MAK is captured by MAK-specific primary antibodies, and detection is achieved through HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The assay is described as lysate-free and high throughput, and includes a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance. Following HRP readout, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.
