Description

From Assay Genie, this Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of M3K13 kinase levels in cell lysates and cell culture supernatants. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which M3K13 is captured by specific primary antibodies while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

Configured for use with adherent cells, the kit has a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples. It is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format with storage stability of 4°C / 6 Months. The M3K13 target corresponds to the gene symbol MAP3K13 (NCBI Full Name: Mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 13), a serine/threonine kinase of the MLK family with a reported molecular weight of 108kDa. According to the supplied reference information, this kinase contains a dual leucine-zipper motif, can form dimers/oligomers through that motif, and can phosphorylate and activate MAPK8/JNK and MAP2K7/MKK7, indicating a role in the JNK signalling pathway. Associated biological processes include activation of NF-kappaB transcription factor, JNK cascade, and protein amino acid phosphorylation.
