LysoBrite, Red DND-99, 500tests

A live-cell permeable fluorescent probe from STEMCELL Technologies selectively labels acidic lysosomal compartments in cultured mammalian cells. The DND-99 fluorophore accumulates in low-pH organelles through protonation and retention, producing a bright red signal that is well separated from green and blue channels. Each vial provides 500 tests, supporting high-content imaging and routine microscopy workflows in cell biology laboratories.

The probe is loaded at working concentrations of 50 to 100 nM, applied directly to culture medium for 15 to 30 minutes at 37 degrees C before live-cell imaging or flow cytometry acquisition. Supplied as a ready-to-dilute stock solution, the dye eliminates weighing and reconstitution steps. After loading, cells can be imaged immediately or counterstained with nuclear dyes such as DAPI or Hoechst for multicolor analysis.

Recommended applications include tracking lysosomal biogenesis, monitoring autophagy flux, assessing drug-induced lysosomal disruption, and characterizing endolysosomal trafficking. The reagent is compatible with standard filter sets for Cy3 or Texas Red equivalents and performs reliably in adherent and suspension cell culture systems.
