LTK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

Assay Genie's Cell-Based ELISA Kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput format for the qualitative detection of LTK protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA approach in which LTK-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, allowing the conjugated HRP enzyme to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is read at 450 nm.

The kit is designed to measure relative amounts of LTK in cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on LTK. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts. Reactivity is stated for Human and Mouse, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells and suitability for adherent-cell samples.

Typical applications include studying protein expression in cell-based assays, signal transduction pathways, protein-protein interactions, and drug screening. The kit is stored at 4°C with a 6-month shelf life.
