Description

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit is designed to detect LMO3 in adherent cells using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm. The indirect ELISA format employs LMO3-specific primary antibodies together with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, with the conjugated HRP enzyme catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

Described as lysate-free and suitable for high-throughput workflows, the kit has a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples. It can be used to measure relative LMO3 amounts in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on LMO3. Qualitative determination of LMO3 concentration is supported by two normalisation approaches: a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody that serves as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining to adjust absorbance values to cell density and plating differences. Storage is at 4 °C with a stated stability of 6 Months.

According to the supplied database information, LMO3 (Gene ID: 55885, UniProt ID: Q8TAP4) encodes LIM domain only protein 3, a member of the rhombotin family of cysteine-rich LIM domain oncogenes predominantly expressed in the brain, with a reported molecular weight of 18,438 Da. The kit is listed under the research area of Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling.
