LIN (Lincomycin) ELISA Kit

This competitive ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed to detect Lincomycin (LIN) in food-related samples, including honey, urine and muscle. The assay uses a microtiter plate pre-coated with coupled antigen, with an HRP conjugate and substrate reagents producing a colorimetric read-out; there is a negative correlation between sample OD and LIN concentration, allowing the analyte level to be determined against a standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.05 ppb (ng/mL), with detection limits of 1.5 ppb for honey and urine and 3 ppb for muscle. Cross-reactivity for Lincomycin is 100%, and sample recovery rates are stated as 90%±10% for urine, 80%±10% for muscle and 80%±15% for honey. The reaction is carried out at 25°C for approximately 30 min followed by 15 min. Required laboratory equipment includes a microplate reader, homogenizer, oscillator, centrifuge, graduated pipettes and a balance readable to 0.01 g, with single-channel (20–200 µL and 100–1000 µL) and multichannel (30–300 µL) micropipettes, alongside reagents such as methanol and concentrated HCl.

The kit should be stored at 2–8°C and components must not be frozen; unused microwells should be returned to their foil bag with desiccant and resealed at the same temperature.
