LIMK1/2 (Phospho-Thr508)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed for the study of LIMK1 and LIMK2 phosphorylation at threonine 508, this cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for measuring phosphorylated protein directly in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which LIMK1/2 (Phospho-Thr508) is captured by a phospho-specific primary antibody and detected with an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody that catalyses a colorimetric reaction. Absorbance is read at 450 nm, and the dynamic range supports work with > 5000 Cells. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is intended for adherent cells.

An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided for determining cell density so that readings can be corrected for plating differences. The kit can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on LIMK1/2 phosphorylation. It supports research into signalling pathways related to cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration, adhesion and proliferation, including conditions such as cancer metastasis, immune response and neurological disorders.
