Description

A Cell-Based ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of LDOC1L protein expression in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which LDOC1L-specific primary antibodies capture the target, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is described as lysate-free and high throughput, suitable for measuring relative amounts of LDOC1L in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (e.g., siRNA or chemicals), or activators. Reactivity is reported for Human and Mouse samples. Detection is by colorimetric measurement at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The format is a 96-Well Microplate and the kit is intended for use with adherent cells. Storage is at 4°C for 6 Months. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising the target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density after colorimetric measurement.

The target protein LDOC1L (leucine zipper down-regulated in cancer 1 like) has a reported molecular weight of 26,154 Da, with the human ortholog located at chromosomal position 22q13.31.
