Ku70/80 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this cell-based ELISA kit provides sensitive and quantitative detection of the Ku70/80 protein complex in adherent cell cultures. It uses an indirect ELISA format in which Ku70/80-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control for normalisation, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to relate absorbance values to cell density.

The kit is intended as a research tool for investigating DNA double-strand break repair, transcriptional regulation, and telomere maintenance, areas in which dysregulation of the Ku70/80 complex has been implicated in cancer and immune disorders. The assay is lysate-free and high-throughput, and may be used to measure relative Ku70/80 levels in cultured cells or to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors, or activators. Reactivity is reported for human samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and storage stability of 4°C for 6 Months.
