Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA kit is designed for the detection of KSR2 levels in cell lysates using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm. The assay reacts with human and mouse samples and is suited to adherent cells, providing a qualitative, lysate-free, high-throughput workflow based on an indirect ELISA format in which KSR2-specific primary antibodies are detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies.

The kit is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range above 5000 cells. It includes an anti-GAPDH antibody to serve as an internal positive control in normalizing target absorbance values, along with a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step for determining cell density so that absorbance values can be normalized to cell amounts. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.

KSR2 (kinase suppressor of Ras 2) functions as a location-regulated scaffold connecting MEK to RAF and acts as a negative regulator of MAP3K3-mediated activation of the ERK, JNK and NF-kappa-B pathways. Dysregulation of KSR2 has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer, and the protein plays a vital role in signal transduction pathways related to cell growth, differentiation and survival, making it a valuable target for further study and drug development research.
