KAP0 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of the KAP0 target in cultured cells. The assay is intended for use with adherent cells and uses an indirect ELISA format, in which KAP0-specific primary antibodies are bound by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies; the conjugated HRP enzyme catalyses a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is lysate-free and high-throughput, supplied in a 96-well microplate format with colorimetric detection measured at 450 nm. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples, has a stated dynamic range of > 5000 cells, and is stored at 4 °C with a stability of 6 months.

Two normalisation methods are provided: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control to standardise target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows the measured absorbance to be normalised to cell density, compensating for plating differences.
