JAB1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed to detect JAB1 (also known as CSN5) protein expression directly in cultured cells, providing a sensitive, lysate-free, high-throughput assay format. JAB1 is described as a key regulator of cell cycle progression and gene transcription, implicated in DNA repair, apoptosis and signal transduction, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, making it a relevant biomarker for studying oncogenesis and developing targeted therapies.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which JAB1 is captured by JAB1-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. It is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format, with storage at 4°C and a stated stability of 6 Months.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density for further data adjustment. The kit can be used to measure relative amounts of JAB1 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on JAB1 expression.
