Description

Designed for the accurate detection of interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) in cell lysates and tissue homogenates, this cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie offers a high-throughput, lysate-free workflow suitable for adherent cells. The colorimetric assay is read at 450 nm and uses an indirect ELISA format in which IRF4 is captured by IRF4-specific primary antibodies, with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is intended for measuring the relative amounts of IRF4 in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on IRF4 expression. It is reactive with human and mouse samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Qualitative determination of IRF4 concentration is achieved through the indirect ELISA workflow.

Two normalization approaches are included: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is used to determine cell density so that plating differences can be adjusted. The kit is supplied in a microplate format with storage at 4°C and a stated stability of 6 months, and falls within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area. The target corresponds to Gene ID 3662 and UniProt ID Q15306.
