Description

Assay Genie's IP3KA Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA is a Cell-Based ELISA Kit designed to measure the IP3KA protein (gene symbol ITPKA) in cultured cells, with reactivity against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm and is intended for use with adherent cell samples.

Built on an indirect ELISA format, the workflow captures IP3KA using target-specific primary antibodies and uses HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is described as lysate-free and high-throughput. For normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The stated dynamic range is "> 5000 Cells". The kit is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is stored at 4°C for up to 6 Months. According to the UniProt entry P23677 cited in the datasheet, ITPKA (inositol-trisphosphate 3-kinase A; EC 2.7.1.127) has a molecular weight of 51kDa and phosphorylates the second messenger inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate to Ins(1,3,4,5)P4, regulating inositol phosphate metabolism and downstream cellular signaling.
