Description

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the accurate quantification of Integrin Beta3 phosphorylated at Tyrosine 773 in cell lysates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which the phospho-target is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, allowing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive, and is intended for measuring the relative amounts of phosphorylated Integrin beta3 in cultured cells as well as for screening the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on Integrin beta3 phosphorylation. It is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and is suitable for adherent cells. Detection is colorimetric at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts.

The target, Integrin Beta3, is a key cell-surface receptor involved in cell adhesion and signalling, with roles in cell migration, proliferation, and differentiation. Phosphorylation at Tyrosine 773 is known to regulate its activity and downstream signalling pathways, making this phospho-site a valuable biomarker for studying cell-adhesion dynamics and integrin-mediated signalling in areas such as cancer, thrombosis, and other diseases in which Integrin Beta3 is implicated. The associated gene symbol is ITGB3 (Gene ID: 3690).
