IkappaB-beta Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the qualitative detection of IkappaB-beta protein expression in cultured adherent cells. The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies are detected by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, with signal generated by a colorimetric substrate read at 450 nm. The assay is lysate-free and supports high-throughput workflows.

Reactivity is reported for human and mouse samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. The assay can be applied to monitor relative IkappaB-beta protein levels in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on IkappaB-beta expression.

Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months. IkappaB-beta (gene symbol NFKBIB) is a member of the NF-kappa-B inhibitor family and, according to the referenced UniProt entry, is expressed in all tissues examined.
