IGF1R (Phospho-Tyr1165/Tyr1166)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's cell-based ELISA kit enables measurement of IGF1R phosphorylated at Tyr1165/Tyr1166 using a colorimetric method at 450 nm. The assay is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples and is intended for adherent cells, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 cells.

Detection proceeds via an indirect ELISA format: phospho-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The kit is lysate-free and high-throughput, allowing measurement of relative IGF1R phosphorylation in cultured cells and screening of the effects that treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals), or activators have on IGF1R phosphorylation.

Two normalization approaches are included: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be adjusted for plating differences.
